FAQs

How does online training work?

After purchasing one of our accredited courses, you’ll receive a link to a Google Drive folder with all your training materials. Access is sent manually, so please allow extra time for evening or weekend purchases.

The folder includes a theory manual and instructional videos. All courses require a case study. Injectables and massage courses also require a video submission so we can assess your technique.

You must supply all required equipment to complete and pass an online course.

Who are you accredited by?

We are accredited by CPD. They are also accredited worldwide. Our accreditation number is 777486.

Do I need any previous experience to do your courses?

No, we do not require any prerequisites to do the courses, even the advanced ones. It is insurance companies that are likely to require them but a lot of them don’t. It is always best to check with them as we cannot definitively say for each company but the next ones mentioned mostly don’t require previous training or knowledge.

The only course that requires previous knowledge is Russian Volume as you will absolutely will not be able to understand the process without Classic training, however we do a Straight to Russian course which covers both methods.

What do the online courses include and cover?

All courses include a training manual, training video, kit list and consultation form examples. They cover everything from anatomy and physiology, to the actual treatment itself and how to carry it out, aftercare, contraindications and much more!

Are the courses insurable?

We always advise contacting your insurance beforehand as all policies are different.

It is important you check you can get covered before purchasing any of our courses. We will not take any responsibility if you do not check before. We also recommend for anything piercing, to check with your local council for their guidance too for requirements, as each council can be different.

Are you still Lash You Train You?

Yes we are still Lash You Train You, we have updated our name on social media for branding purposes, but our official company name remains the same for accreditation and legal registrations. This allows us to maintain consistency with regulatory bodies while enhancing our presence online. All certificates remain the same and are still valid.

Why are your courses so cheap compared to others?

Our courses are self-paced online learning, which allows us to keep costs low while still delivering in-depth, high-quality content. Training in the beauty industry changed my life, and keeping courses affordable allows me to help others build flexible careers, become their own boss, and do work they truly enjoy.

 Do courses include kit?

No, none of our courses include kit however we can advise you which products to buy and where from after they are purchased. The folders also contain this information. We do also sell a handful of kits for selected courses on our website.

How much are kits?

Kit prices vary depending on your budget and the quality you choose. For example, semi-permanent makeup machines typically start from around £150, with higher-priced options offering better performance. Lash kits can start from as little as £20, but investing more usually means higher-quality products and better results.

Is there a time frame that it needs to be completed by?

We give you 24 months to complete courses. They are all done in your own time and pace.

If you need an extension, we offer a 12 month extension for 50% of the cost price of the course on our website.

Once I have passed the case study will I get a certificate?

Yes you will get a certificate emailed to you once you are at a satisfactory level and it will make you fully qualified in your choice of course. You can also purchase hard copies from us too.

What happens if I lose my certificate once issued?

It is your responsibility to look after your certificate. After 2 years, our email inbox wipes itself for storage purposes so anything over that we cannot trace back. We can issue another one for a fee of £35 per certificate, but please know as much information and proof as possible so that we can find all relevant details, else we will not be able to do this.

Do you do payment plans?

We offer Shop Pay in 3 and Clearpay, just choose that option at the checkout.

Are your courses refundable?

Unfortunately, we do not offer refunds on online courses. This is because full access to all course materials and learning resources is provided immediately upon purchase, meaning the information and knowledge are instantly available regardless of course completion.

I have changed my mind about which course I want to do, can I swap?

Due to the same reasons outlined above, course swaps are not usually possible once access has been granted. However, swaps may be considered within 24 hours of purchase. No refunds will be given if you switch to a cheaper course, and swaps cannot be made to courses that are discounted or on sale.

Do you offer Hybrid lash extension training?

Hybrid lashes are a combination of classic and Russian volume techniques, so a separate hybrid course is not required. Once you are trained in both classic and Russian volume lashes, you can confidently create hybrid sets.

Can I complete my Russian Volume training using premade fans?

No, unfortunately not. Russian Volume training must be completed using handmade fans, as this is the core skill being assessed. Premade fans are applied using the same technique as classic lashes and therefore fall under classic qualification. As they are not handmade, they are not classed as true Russian Volume, and you should not charge the same price as handmade Russian Volume sets.

If I have any questions, is it ok to ask them even after I have completed the course?

Yes of course we like to help as much as we can but unfortunately we cannot offer this as a 24/7 service so if you have messaged out of hours please try and be patient waiting for a response. We do not work weekends.

How long does it take to receive a response for my coursework?

Case studies are reviewed during working hours only. We do not respond in the evenings or at weekends, so please allow up to 48 working hours to receive a response.

Do I need a prescriber for injectables?

Not necessarily, we offer advice on which companies you can purchase products with before qualifying.

Can I call someone for advice?

As we are an online business, we do not currently offer this service in order to be able to keep the cost of our training down and affordable. You are always more than welcome to email us or contact us through social media channels, Facebook or Instagram.

Do you do discount codes?

We often have spontaneous offers so it is always best to check our social media for updates. Our courses are 3 for 2 for the foreseeable future to give an extra little help to our students.

Can you use a discount code as well as a 3 for 2 deal or buy one get one free?

Unfortunately not, the system only allows one or the other.

What is your cancellation policy for Zoom training?

If cancelled with less than 24 hours notice, a flat fee of £10 will be required to rebook. This is the same for no shows too. If you do not join within 10 minutes, we will have to reschedule too.

Zoom courses are also non refundable once payment is made.

How much cancellation or rescheduling notice do I need to give for 1-1 training?

We require at least 12 days notice. We know this is not always possible, but as much notice as possible is appreciated. If you cancel with less than 10 days notice, you will have to repay the £100 deposit to train again.

If you transfer your deposit, it needs to be reused within 12 months. It is NOT valid for online courses / treatments or to swap to them.

We allow 2 date changes if you give enough notice, anything more and the deposit will have to be repaid again.

Shared training discounts

Discounted training rates apply to shared sessions and are subject to shared availability.

If a shared session cannot be confirmed on the original date, we will offer an alternative shared date to ensure the discounted rate is maintained.

Where students are unresponsive to multiple contact attempts, bookings will be rescheduled to the next available shared session.

Do you offer any finance options for face to face training?

We offer Clearpay as our finance option. They do take a 10% cut, so we add that on to the price onto the payment to cover some of the amount they take.

Will I be able to gain insurance for face to face training and do I have to be a medic?

We train medics and non medics and both are able to gain insurance. We provide advice for insurance but we always recommend you also doing your own research too so there is no confusion.

For example, for more advanced courses like Botox / Skin boosters / Fillers, insurance companies expect pre requisites before, such as 6 month microneedling / A&P Level 3 / Beauty therapy Level 3 etc. It is always good to contact them beforehand to see if you are eligible / what you need to complete to be eligible.

Is face to face training done in a group setting or 1-1?

Face to face training is done with a maximum of 2 students per group, but usually 1-1.

What happens if I cannot make my face to face training?

All deposits for training courses are non refundable. If you want to transfer to another date, your deposit has to be repaid.

If you have used Clearpay, the 10% cut will also be taken off your refund.

If you have paid in full on Clearpay, £100 of the payment is non refundable as that is the deposit for the training day.

If cancelled in a 24 hour period, you can get your full deposit back.

What payment methods do you accept?

For face to face training we accept card payment, cash or bank transfer. We always take payment at the beginning of training days.
